Migration research using geolocators

With use of small devices – geolocators,  a study of the migration of Aquatic warblers was carried out in 2018 – 2020. It turned out that Lithuanian and Belarusian Aquatic Warblers are wintering farther than expected – they rest in Senegal, but then fly deeper into the Africa and settles in Mali. These small birds, weighing no more than a teaspoon of sugar, fly 7000-8000 km to one direction and return to their homeland in the Spring. Read more.
