Intensive work in Dreverna

Currently, a farm in Dreverna is undergonig intensive construction work. A biomass recycling center will be operating here in the fall. This center will partially solve the problem of excess biomass, that has few uses, after it has been harvested later in the lagoon territories where the aquatic warbler can be found. The late mowing, low quality biomass will be collected from the aquatic warbler habitats, and reprocessed here into an alternative product – grass granules. Recycling the biomass into a useful product we make sure to avoid waste and also make it easier for farmers to change their agricultural activity in order to protect Europe’s rarest songbird – the aquatic warbler.
