The second day of the journey. The translocation of aquatic warbler juveniles begins well before the real transportation of birds. First of all, ornithologists settle for living in the fenmire for a few weeks and they are carefully looking for nests of aquatic warblers. Finding this nest is a big challenge because the birds hide them very well. On the second day of our trip we visited Zvaniec wetland, where we took the last nest for a journey to Lithuania. Although fellow ornithologists had found the nest the day before and they marked the place with physical signs and GPS, but finding the nest again in the monotonous swamp environment deep in the grass was still a challenge.
Day 2. Searching and caring for nests
